Lessons from Two Months of Fox + Spindle
Fox + Spindle helps teams confidently embrace AI through hands-on practice, strategic focus, and a belief that real learning happens through play. We’re here to ensure AI isn’t just another tool handed down without context, but a catalyst for meaningful, human-centered transformation. Here’s what we’ve learned in our first two months of building toward that vision.
Why We Started
Two months ago, we launched Fox + Spindle because we couldn’t stop thinking about all the teams being handed AI—with no time, no training, and no real ownership.
They’re expected to figure it out on the fly, while still doing everything else.
We kept asking: Why isn’t anyone really helping them? Not just with strategy decks or empty hype—but with hands-on support, playful learning, and clear-eyed guidance.
Eventually, we asked a different question—the one that changed everything: Why not us?
We’ve been in those rooms. We’ve made the mistakes. We’ve figured out what works.
So we rolled up our sleeves—and started building the thing we wish we’d had. With experimentation. With curiosity. With a little chaos.
What We’ve Been Up To with AI and Digital Transformation
Here’s what we’ve packed into our first 60 days:
Hosted six webinars—from AI 101 for the curious to deep dives on math logic, prompt writing, and coding chaos. Plus, we have more on the way, on topics like AI agents, roleplaying personas, and more. Check them out here.
Started project conversations with companies asking the right questions—and a few that surprised us in the best way.
Launched intentional outreach (hello, ZoomInfo) with thoughtful messaging and zero fluff.
Built our internal toolkit—prompts, workflows, and resources we’re getting ready to share.
We’ve also shared a lot in public—sometimes live, sometimes a little too candid. But that’s part of our ethos: learn by doing, and let others learn with us.
What We’ve Learned About AI Training, Teams, and Starting Small
When you’re two people doing all the jobs of a full company, you learn fast.
We’ve worn new hats every day. Said yes before we were “ready.”
Some lessons we’re taking with us into month three:
Most teams aren’t starting from scratch—they’re starting from overwhelmed.
You don’t learn AI by reading about it. You learn by doing, testing, adjusting.
Hype fades. Honest, hands-on guidance sticks.
Small and scrappy is a superpower. It helps us stay close to the work—and to the people it’s meant to help.
What’s Next
We couldn’t be here without the support, encouragement, and curiosity of our friends, collaborators, and early partners. Whether you’ve joined a webinar, shared an idea, or simply cheered us on—thank you.
And while we’ve been building, the pace of change hasn’t slowed—it’s accelerated. In just the last two months, we've seen Claude 4, Llama 4, and Gemini 2.5 Pro hit the scene. ChatGPT learned to remember, and Jony Ive introduced 'io' with OpenAI. DeepMind launched a safety framework, and Georgia Tech launched Tech AI to accelerate AI's real-world impact across industry and government. Meta, Anthropic, Google, and OpenAI are all pushing forward—sometimes collaboratively, sometimes competitively—but always at speed.
It’s a reminder that no one can afford to wait for things to settle. The future of work isn’t coming. It’s already here. What teams need now is clarity, context, and a path forward. That’s where we come in.
